Do you think I care?

6.50pm.
A guy walked into our store and asked about the current lottery prize.


"60 millions" I answered.
"Give me 2 dollars on that" he spoke in Mandarin with a hint of a familiar accent.
I smiled and asked, "are you Malaysian?"
"Yes" was his reply.
He offered no smile.
I smiled wider and continued, "where are you from?"
"Kedah."
Short reply and still no smile.
"Oh Kedah. I'm from Sabah," I said while offering him my friendliest smile and his lottery ticket.
Silence.
Followed by his footsteps walking away.
Our conversation ended.
Just like that.
